Yesterday, I made a pre-Xmas dinner (chicken not turkey but dessert
was Xmas pud) at my sister's place so that we could spend some time
with a family friend who spends Xmas in the UK every year. A couple
of days ago, she had phoned to ask me "Would I be interested in a bag
of 'scraps' that she'd found in her storage closet?"...any that I
didn't want could be tossed out. Three bags later: velvets, Thai
silks, wools, a bolt of dark green linen, interfacings, cottons,
broadcloth and a selection of other home dec pieces....definitely, it
won't be tossed! jennellh
