My DH bought me a sewing machine. Okay, he let me call and order what
I wanted! lol
I bought a Husqvarna Viking Sapphire 850! I'm very excited about
this. He is a great guy! No, really he is! lol Anyway, it should
have been here yesterday...sigh...I'm suspecting the dealer sent it
parcel post. We opted to have it sent versus going and picking it
up. It is an hour and a half from where we live and my DH doesn't
travel very well...we thought it'd be cheaper than gas!!!
This does give me time to clean off my sewing table and other stuff.
This way, I'll have plenty of time to play! lol

Does anyone have the Sapphire? How do you like it?
Launie, in Oregon

I don't have a Sapphire, Launie, but I'll bet you love it. I hope it knows
its coming to a good home!

Congrats!

You know, I think quilters appreciate their hubbies more than the
average wife ... I took a 2 year hiatus from quilting (I wouldn't
recommend it, LOL) and put all my fabrics in storage (protected like
the Queen's jewels, of course) and hubby dear helped me sort through 12
HEAVY boxes to find what I was looking for!

When I didn't, the dear sweet man (who has no interest in the glorious
tactile joys of fabric) said "Well, if you didn't find it, I guess you
need to go shopping!"

Gotta love our men! :)

Even when they leave their undies behind the bathroom door (a surprise
for us to find later), toss the wet towel on the floor after their
shower (their helpful attempt at improving the bathroom decor), believe
that the uterus is a homing device (Honey, where's my watch?), and turn
the whites pink ("I just wanted to help out and do some laundry for
you! I didn't know you couldn't wash whites with reds!") ... they end
up being supportive in the ways that warms a quilter's heart!

AKA letting us buy quilty stuff! :)
