I have recently finished a course in digital imaging. I found it opened
a new door for me in crafts.

I thought I could print off some of my altered images and put them in a
quilted wall hanging I could just put plain bands in between the
pictures.
What do you think?

You can see them in Other Crafts on my website.

Gosh Shirley - the things you get up when we are not looking!
And I struggle to do basic 'getting pictures onto the computer in the
first place' >g<
You would be an inspiration to me, if I didn't get so exhausted just
thinking about all you do!

I used to belong to a UK group who did computer design called Computer
Textile Design Group. It is at

http://www.ctdg.co.uk/

and they did a lot of designing using 'played with' pictures.

Val Campbell Harding was a leading light.

This was back in 2001 - I see that are just celebrating the 60th
newsletter, so must still be thriving. I joined at a time when I had far
too much on my plate and just didn't have time to even read the
Newsletter properly, never mind play with the computer. I also didn't
have a digital camera then.

Having got the folder out, I think I will have an evening relaxing and
reading them tonight! I see there are some quilts in there - It was
before I had quilted!

Howdy!

Those are lovely pics and textures, Shirley.
Good for you!

I reckon if you put like fabrics together you'll make a very pretty quilt.
The pictures on silk could be sashed w/ silk, if you can handle the fabric
(or add a stablizer on the back of the fabrics). The cotton pics will
work easily w/ cotton sashings.
Oh, my, you are full of great ideas! Please keep us informed (& in pics).

Cheers!
R/Sandy
