marks the day when I put a call into Karen, QofS, to give her
information to pass along to the group.....5 pounds, 9.8 ounces, etc.
etc. etc. Can you believe it's been that long??!!??
My early bird will be turning 6 tomorrow and we will be having the
family dinner/cake event tomorrow night. Saturday will (we hope) be
the friend party, though I've only heard from 2 children - 1 said yes,
1 said no......lovely how people rsvp down here....please, people,
don't complain about the lack of manners of today's youth if you
aren't going to be responsible for teaching them in the first
place!!! It is not the school's job to teach manners, it's the job of
the parents. If they don't see you responding to invitations with
either a positive or negative, they will not know that they are
supposed to do it....argh
Regardless, she will be having a LIttlest Pet Shop cake, ice cream, a
surprise visit from one of her grandparents, with other grandparents
coming up next weekend and a phone call from still other grandparents
(hubby and I come from "broken homes", with some of the parents
getting married again. So, she should have fun and sugar
shock .....will be fun all around.
She has an appointment for her yearly pictures tomorrow morning, and
that's all on the schedule, so hopefully it will be a nice relaxing
day...she also chose the dinner menu: chicken nuggets, mac and cheese,
and crescent rolls....carb city!
Ok, just wanted to share......

That's a precious dear memory that she will cherish forever. When I was
growing up the supper was: ham steak, mashed potatoes, new green peas and
my cake? 3 layers: top one pink, middle white and the bottom a lovely (?)
blue - the icing? milk chocolate. Mama's been gone a long, too long time
but I still do my favorites just for me. Your little girl may not remember
everything from growing up but trust me, she will remember the special
things you do for her birthdays. Polly
