I'm thinking a notebook would be just so easy to bury on the cutting table
or assorted other stacks. There are some here who are not exactly
organized. (You know who you are.) For those, the inside of a cabinet or
closet door is better. Nearly none of us have buried a closet door. Well.
Maybe just a few. Polly

My Notebook has a hole punched in one corner with a hank o'yarn on it & it
is hanging from a hook by the door.

Well, duh! (slapping self upside the forehead) Notezilla! It's a
Windows application DH found that allows you to write little sticky
notes that stay on your computer screen. You can color-code them, copy
stuff to them, print them, sort and file them. I use them to save
recipes posted here, url addresses, little reminders, etc.
