I saw this quote this morning

"Most of our problems can be solved. Some of them will take brains,
and some of them will take patience, but all of them will have to be
wrestled with like an alligator in the swamp."
[Harold Washington (1922-1987) - Politician]

First thing that came to mind was "heck throw them to Polly's gators,
let 'em handle those problems! If they taste like chicken, all the
better!"

Ginger in CA
wondering if the gators would like our semi-new software system from
work that went down for emergency maintenance at 2PM and they couldn't
restore it......

I don't know, Ginger. You could send the software and we'll let the gators
sniff it out. Maybe if we coat it with chocolate? The Swamp is so peaceful
tonight. The roaring wind and flooding rain have subsided. All you can
hear is the low rumble of gators calling to each other. We never know what
they're saying. Maybe it's "Send us software, it tastes like chicken".

Can you really hear the gators at night? Are the mosquitos bad there?

Yes, we can hear the gators in the late evening; sounds much like DH
snoring. I typed in 'alligator sound' over at WebCrawler and came up with
lots of You Tubes films with audio. Quite fun and very safe. The
mosquitoes aren't bad here but we are enduring the June bug plague. You'd
think Gustav would have blown them away, but noooooooo. Polly
