OT I love a sunburnt country . . . . . .

A land of sweeping plains
Of ragged mountain ranges
Of droughts and flooding rains

Well, it rained here this evening - over an inch in about
30 minutes. I am flooded, and loving it. Yippee! The cats
are totally confused of course (I don't think Donut has seen
this much rain - ever) and there is water lapping all around
the house -

AND I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER!!!!

I had to wade out into the mud to clear drains, and I got
drenched. The flooding around the house was caused by the
local council not clearing the stormwater drain. But as far
as I am concerned it can rain all night and I won't care!!

Sadly by tomorrow it will be drying out and hot again, but
for now it is WET WET WET!

Cheryl,

Please send some my way - the Mornington Peninsula - my garden is sick of
having its mouth washed with soapy water and I am sick of bucketing it
around the yard.

We are just getting some now, not much, but at least it is some. I was
looking at the BOM site earlier and it looks like you will be getting
more Cheryl, thats if SA doesn't take it all first. mind you they
really need it too.

Oh dear - I was sitting here wondering what on earth the
Block of the Month site had to do with it raining here. I
need to get out more!!

For those not aware - BOM = Bureau of Meteorology (aka the
weather guys)
