I finally got off my sick bed and did something today! I made my
first fabric bowl and they are as fun to make as they are pretty. I
had a stinker of a time getting my computerized new machine to sew
through the thickness, so I dug out my old White Jeans Machine that
will sew through anything. That was the answer...then I spent a good
deal of time trying to get the tension correct but, all that fiddling
paid off with a nice first bowl. Tomorrow will be "bowl day" at my
house. I can see all kinds of Christmas gifts tucked into bowls this
year: soaps, girlie cosmetics, candy, cookies, whatever I can think
of. Thank you so much for posting about these...link follows for

Good on you, Donna! I love your fabric choices- the colors are great.
And your first bowl wasn't lopsided like mine! ;-)

That's a great first bowl. They do seem to have possibilities!
