Has anyone traveled to Muscat? DH may be working there for about a
month and I was thinking about traveling with him.

I have, but I was only 12 at the time, my grandparents lived there for 5
years and I visited them twice.

What month will he be there? Muscat is one of the hottest places in the
world, have a look at
http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/world/city_guides/results.shtml?tt=TT002670
and compare it to what you are happy with!

If you'd be there for a month, you might want to look into tours that
are available whilst you are there, we went for a trip on a Dhow, a
coach trip to Nizwa and in a 4WD up a wadi.

You'd definitely want to take time to look round the various souks, I
think the Ruwi Souk was considered to be the best.

Cheers
Anne
