Lea dog used to nudge the slider screen door open occasionally.
Lily would sneak out but we were never far away so she never
got to the end of the house. DS would call her outings 'field
trips'. DH was able to find some sliding screen door closer
kind of things. They have a spring and pull the door closed.
They have worked really well for us. Last house had 3 sliders
across the back and though they were great they were a worry
for the inside only cats. Closers made life a tad less worrisome.
I am glad Cheeto and his hiding are over for this time.

Oh, Mary! I really, really hope he turns up after having had a rather
serious snooze somewhere indoors! Please do keep us posted.

Oh heck, I'd be worried too. "Good stuff" coming your way. Let's hope
he's still just a little groggy from the anesthetic and has found a
REALLY good spot to snooze.
