DS will be driving I-90 from Ohio/PA to Albany later today/tomorrow. Are
there any problems along that route?

Nothing in the local news.
No mentions of troubles beyond standard maintenance on the thruway
authority site either.
The few times I have had to go to Albany, I usually take 86 to 88.
Makes more sense if you are near the PA border to start with.

route would not go as north.
