Well, the white may be hail and ice hanging around in clumps but it is wet,
wet, wet!!! Hopefully it is still raining where the fires are as well as in
water catchment areas.
Wishing all my fellow RCTQ family the happiest of christmases and a very
safe and happy new year.
Hears to making 2007 bigger and better

Hi Sharon,
It is just wonderful that the rain came when it did.
It is cold, windy and threatening rain at Crib Point and I just love it.
Even got the winter dressing gown on :-)
Hope all have a great day and that Santa has been kind to you all.

That's just such wonderful news. Help us out here - my understanding of
where the terrible fires have been and where you live are mighty vague. Are
you telling us that Australia's dangerous fires are out or will be soon? We
had 4" of rain Thursday and will have another four here before midnight.
Don't know how Santa is going to get here with my pony but I will bear it
gracefully if it means you are finally getting wet too. Polly

The fires are pretty much put out. Up in the alpine region of Mt Buller and
thereabouts there are still fires burning but the rains and hail (and snow!)
have given the firefighters a mega chance to get the upper hand. What a
relief!
Oh and Christmas day was just wonderful. Sitting down flicking through one
of my presents and watching the kids (big and little) all wrestling each
other on the living room floor like WWE superstars was a treat. Every time
one of them escaped the pile he or she got dragged back in@!
