What can I do with dried adzuki beans? I've never had them before, and
don't know what they taste like or how to prepare them. Has anyone here
used them?

Adzuki/azuki beans are a "sweet" bean and often used in Asian deserts.

rice" but a bit sweeter.) Personally, I would soak and cook them up
and try them. See what spices/seasonings you think would be good.
There are recipes available on line for both sweet and savory dishes.
Have fun and experiment. (Evidently they are a really good source of
iron, so probably need some vitamin C source with them.)

Anything you'd use any other dried bean for. They have a slightly
sweet, nuty flavour that goes well in sweeter dishes.

hey Karen,
the japanese have used it as an exfoliant for centurys apparently..
no idea how many of the beans you have but you might like to try a few this
way.
i'd guess a 1/4 cup would be enough to give it a try.
from a quick online read the powder is ok for sensitive skin.
maybe first try a bit somewhere other than your face to check you dont have
any reactions to it.

here are a couple of links to peruse at your leisure.

Wait, wait, wait.....Noooooooooo. Remember, Jeanne. Karen is our allergic
quilter. No bean exfoliant for her. She'll just have to go around
scruffy-looking until we get her whole and well. Polly
