DH started his new job 2 months ago, but has been given very little to
do and today it has been suggested that he should take unpaid leave,
while they find him some work to do. He is on a 3 month trial, so I
suppose that's why they want to stall a bit and not commit.
He's fine about it and said that he has other contacts with other
companies, but I'm feeling a little low, just when we thought that life
was getting back to some sort of normal. We've just spent the last 5
yrs+ with job insecurity and can't believe that we are back to that again.
Sorry, don't mean to moan, just needed to tell someone.
Thanks for listening, I feel better just telling someone. Grrrr, I knew
that life was going too well and someone was going to pull out the rug
and guess what they have or are at least trying!

So sorry to hear you are having to deal with this. I will add you and your
DH to my prayer list. Hopefully he will find something more permanent soon.
Hang in there.

Gosh Janner, I sure can understand your concern. You never know,
sometimes things work out though. This may be the time
for one of those other contacts to come together with a better
opportunity for you all. In the meanwhile we have our fingers
crossed for a good outcome.
Hugs, Taria

Janner,
This is how I see it from here (trust me, I understand about the job
insecurity!):
He is on trial, this probably means they could just fire him, but they
are asking him to take unpaid leave rather actually asking him to leave.
So, it looks to me like they want to keep him.
Good luck in any case!

I'd have to agree ... hubby works for the Navy (civilian) and the gov
did that to him, too, when he first started. And that was 6 years and
three promotions ago! In the meantime, he's keeping his ear to the
ground and no matter what happens with the "trial job" it could very
well result in an even BETTER job!
But even still, I'm sending hugs and good wishes your way ...
(((hugs)))
