OT selling it

Just heard a tv commercial that is so cute. They call it Cash for Clunkers.
You donate your old furniture - sofa, dining table & chairs (whatever) to a
charity. Present the receipt at the furniture store and get a 10% discount
on your purchase.
That just tickles me so much.
We know that furniture stores are kind of kin to Big Hearted Eddie's
Gently Used Car Lot and will ordinarily give you a 10% discount anyway. No
great bargain with the Cash for Clunkers offer at the furniture store. I
just thought it might make you smile.
Sounds good to me. We have a 'gently shredded by QI' sofa that
certainly is a clunker. Polly

someone clever will give it a new facelift and it will continue to be used
for a few more yrs yet by someone who needs a new sofa.
no doubt Martha Stewart would tell us 'its a good thing'.
even we have something with car clunkers for cash.
havent checked it out yet tho.
