Ok, I finally found out this week that they want me to teach English in
primary schools here again (SW France). 2 new schools this year and
volunteering at the school that I taught in last year (no budget left
for me). So I will be teaching 9 + 10 year olds, just before they go up
to big school. I've been teaching younger ones up to now, so should be
interesting and also I don't know what level that they are all at.
Anyway, can't believe it, I have more hours, so a little more pay, just
to discover in our post that our "habitation tax" is going up next year,
so in 1 hand and out the other ;) Hey, I don't do it just for the
money, it is great fun as well - I think that I am the biggest kid there!
So I had a training morning this morning and met 5 other ladies (4
English + 1 Belgian) who are also teaching in schools here - it was
quite a laugh and reassuring to know others who've had the same problems
as you......
Anyway, still working on the house, so hoping to move in next week, it
is far from finished, but the novelty of living in the camper van is
wearing a little thin when it has been -3 Celsius outside in the morning
and we are just reaching 10 Celsius in the van! Plenty to do before it
looks like a real home - ie kitchen would be nice....., heating that
works as well...., but we're having fun doing it up, it feels like ours.
The first time that we've bought somewhere that has needed so much
work, well for us who are unskilled, it seems a lot of work.
Anyway, bye for now, happy quilting
