Regarding the recent inundation of Troll posts to rctq. The damage
can be minimized easily if everyone keeps calm. Here are some useful
tips:

Do not read any messages posted from addresses you don't recognize.

Do not open any links from Tiny URL or other link services like it,
even if you do recognize the address of the poster because addresses
are being hijacked.

It might be a good idea to not post links to your quilting pictures
online if you can avoid it. Most of us know how to get to the rctq
picture links page that Kay made for us, so we could just write
something like "Go see my new picture by clicking on the (insert your
name her) link at the rctq quilt photos link site." This would let us
know you have something new without us fearing to go look at it.

Do not reply to any Troll so they will get bored and go to find easier
hunting grounds elsewhere. Replying to Trolls is feeding them useful
info for future attacks as well as entertaining them. You may as well
invite them to your home, sit them in front of the TV, and feed them
chocolate, and none of us wants a troll making a chocolaty mess in our
sewing areas so not feeding them is best.

If you feel like you do need to reply to a troll, write the reply and
then hold it for 24 hours before hitting the send button. Once you
have calmed down you will be glad that you didn't hit send and feed
the troll after all.

Basically, ignore the bad stuff and post as much quilty conversation
as you can and they will get bored and leave whenever they realize no
one is going to be upset by their childish antics.
