She had an absolutely terrible experience actually - when they went in
to remove the cancer from her thyroid, the anesthetic collapsed her
lungs and she was actually dead for a few minutes. She had a very
serious cold the month before and was still congested, but docs did x-
rays and said it was a go anyway. Docs had a community room right
next to the operating room so all rushed in and, thank God, brought
her back. Another friend and I were in the waiting room and the
doctor came out and told us the whole story - it was an awful shock.
She had quite a long recovery from that but the operation could not be
performed (of course) so all that is pending. She's actually feeling
quite well these days despite all that and is waiting to see what they
will do next. She is such a positive person and is always UP, so
we're all hoping for the best. Thanks for asking Amy.

Wow. what a trooper. Give her my best. Still praying for her, too.
Thanks for the update.

I'll be sure to let her know about your prayers ... I know it will
bring tears to her eyes once again, but they're happy tears, and yes
she is a trooper. Thanks for participating in her HUG quilt Amy. She
is still overwhelmed that strangers cared enough to contribute to the
quilt. It really was a joy to put together for such a great gal.
