I mentioned in a previous post that I had finished the binding on a quilt
while I was on our annual Presidents Weekend getaway in the Pocono's. I
have finally taken the pix and posted them on webshots for your viewing
pleasure. I also posted them on the Yahoo Group for the Get-It-Done folks.
The quilt had not told me its name yet and I knew I would have to put
something into the albums when I added the pictures. When you see the
colors, you will understand.
The history behind this quilt was that I was taking a quilt class at my LQS
and saw this baby quilt hanging on the wall. I fell in love with the
pattern. It uses one large piece for the center and then the border is
pieced. The pattern is called "Easy Peasy" and it really was. I chose the
fabrics that I knew my daughter would love. And who could resist the focus
fabric with those little angel faces. I loved the way it turned out but
still had no name for it.
Then when I was adding the pictures to the Yahoo group album, I kept
thinking that there was no compelling reason for making it; it wasn't a baby
gift or a birthday gift, it wasn't a class project or even the colors I
normally chose. I made it, well, just because. Just because I love my
little grand son to pieces and hopes it brings him sweet dreams in his big
boy bed and just because he has transformed my daughter into the woman and
mother she is today. And so it has been named what it had been shouting to
me all along - "Just Because". I hope you enjoy looking at the photos -
just because.

I love things that are done "Just Because." And this quilt is just
precious. The colors and the angels are perfect for the DGS of yours!

Best reason for making a quilt (and all my favorite colors too). It's
darling -I'm sure he'll love it. Thanks for the view!
