Good Morning,
I never thought that I would be sending a message like this to the
group. But, one never knows.
As some of you (the Get It Done group) know, I was diagnosed with lung
cancer in November. I am doing quite well for now and this request is
actually not for me.
One of my coworkers was diagnosed with cancer last February. The
doctors told him that he probably had about one year. Despite agreeing
to every treatment, clinical trial, etc. that came his way it looks like
Mike's prognosis was correct. He is now at home with hospice care.
May I please ask that this group do what you do even better than
quilting and pray/wish that Mike's final days be pain free and his
passing be peaceful?
Thank you!

Rita,
You've been on my list. Now Mike's needs are now on my prayer list too. As a
captain of a Relay for Life Team, I keep a 'running list' of people needing
prayers, and share this info with my Team. It means a lot to us to be able
to pray for cancer patients, and their families.
I am very happy to hear you are doing quite well for now. Maybe when the
weather gets nicer you will come back this way for another visit. If so, I
have a new LQS to show you!
Hugs and good wishes, PAT in Virginia

Prayers and warm thoughts are on their way. It is wonderful that he
is able to spend his final days at home.
