When a product changes my (quilting) life, I have to talk about it.

I've been using Mary Ellen's Best Press, the Clear Starching Alternative and
it is wonderful.

I'm making log cabin blocks and I am pressing the seams open. I spray the
top of every seam after I press it open and even though I've sprayed the
blocks about 10 times total, there is no noticeable buildup, no dragging and
no scorching.

My blocks are crisp and just beautiful.

I love this stuff. I'm buying a gallon of it to refill my small bottle. I
am using the lavender and it smells nice.

Cool! I have been so tempted by this product....now I know it's a good one
to try! Thanks Cindy.

Does it come without perfume? I prefer not to add anything that smells!

Yes, I've seen it unscented. I, OTOH, need all the help I can get. Maybe
if it smells good people won't notice what it looks like.

Donna asked about an unscented option. Yes, Best Press does come in a
clear unscented version. I'm using that now. I originally bought the
"blue" one (sea breeze or something). It was very nice but I prefer not
to add scent to my quilts as I go :-)
