Nosy Pat here wondering if any one has finished quilts or quilted items for
Christmas gifts. (Or for other holiday if you prefer.) I have not done any
this year but hope to make some in 2009.

Made DD1 a set of 8 placemats and napkins. Whole cloth, not pieced,
but certainly quilted. Made a couple of pieced shopping/gift bags to
save on paper. No quilts per se, although my new son-in-law might need
a lap quilt one day soon! (Haven't lost a daughter, I've acquired
another quilt recipient :-)

Oh Roberta! I don't remember hearing about the wedding? Did you go
over to the US for it - I think you said you were going to, but
arrangements change, of course. Didn't hear about your outfit; the
bride's dress, bridesmaids, and so on. Even a photo or two?
Please fill us in ... ... only interested, as I know it is something
you've been looking forward to for years!

The big event is Dec. 22, so we're going next week. Very exciting!
Gabriela organized it all herself, very small ceremony with immediate
families only. She bought an off-the-rack white evening gown, long
white gloves, and a vintage white fur stole. Everything more or less
re-usable! We're making the bouquet, corsages for the moms and sister,
boutonnieres for the men, to save florist costs. We will spend that
money instead on pre-wedding manicures and other spa fun. DH has a new
suit and I a new dress, so we will look respectable :-) Maybe photos
later!
