I like this idea too!
I like to use the brightest, gaudiest fabric imaginable to make pillow cases
for when I travel. I drag my down pillow everywhere and it helps me to
remember it at the hotel when it is dayglow orange.
OTOH, I like to use quilt fabric for pillowcases because it just gets softer
the more you wash it.
