Singer 6268

You all know me, so please don't think I'm trying to sell something here. I know better. That said, I have a question. I've run across the embroidery unit to my mom's Singer 6268, and two manuals that I assume go with it. Is it worth trying to sell it on Ebay, or should I just give it away? Mom hated the machine, and traded it for the Phaff I'm currently using. Why she didn't give them the embroidery unit will remain a mystery, but now I don't know what to do with it. All of you geniuses must have some ideas, so I'd love to hear from you. Thanks bunches,

I would Ebay it. Even if you don't get a lot for it, it's better than having it hang around the house. If you can find a good home for it otherwise and don't want the hassle of listing it, go for it! Look on ebay first, though, see if there are many similar units, and see how well they're doing.

Shipping is so expensive these days, you might have better luck advertising locally. Does your LQS have a bulletin board? I'm in the same quandary with this worthless Euro-Pro my husband bought for me two years ago. (why do they do that?)....It's been in the closet and I don't have room to keep stuff I never use. I've seriously thought about putting it on Freecycle.

Well, yeah, I thought about that. Except this machine is truly so horrible, I'd feel bad pawning it off on someone else for money. I'll probably give it away (and even then, warn the recipient!) :-) It's a nightmare to thread. The stitches are ugly and loose, no amount of adjustment helps. It's just one of those ultra-cheap things. DH was home with a broken leg watching the shopping channel and bought it. I must supervise his viewing more :-)
