...and they all walk funny as a result of trying to keep those low riders
from falling down round their ankles.
that walking funny is also reconfiguring their hip bones.
ah to be around when they start having to replace hips joints in that
generation.
tho come to think of it, i may well be around as that will probly be about
the same time they need to get hearing aids long before reaching old age all
thanks to wearing IPods etc that blast the LOUD music straight into their
eardrums.
i'm sure it is worse than the occasional loud rock concerts we went to.
this generation is going to cost a lot more in medical care than the baby
boomers me thinks.
i'd hope a greater proportion of us are saving up for our retirement, unlike
too many of this generation who are spending what they've not earned yet and
haven't a hope of ever paying back...just declare bankruptcy avoiding having
to pay it back to anyone.
has become a sorry lot for sure.

Has it occured to anyone that that trend began in the early '80s, so
it's been "in fashion" for over a quarter of a century now. Beats the
heck out of bell bottoms, leisure suits, and a lot of others...(for
duration)

no, not at all.
the kids who wear their trousers/jeans so low they have to hold them up with
one hand also walk funny now. they walk with their legs wide to help keep
the pants up. seriously, this is affecting the useage of their hip joints
and not in a good way.
a bit like women who 'live' in super high heels are shoving the natural
position of their pelvis/womb out of its proper place.
it all adds up one day to too many folks unnecessarily needing medical help
to fix what ails them and most probably well before their old age.
watch how those boys walk, it aint pretty and it will cause them serious
problems sooner than later.
oh well. ya cant tell them that cuz they think they look so cool now.
it aint gonna look cool when they need a hip replacement or other help in
their 50s, if not sooner.
they are just being stupid, not cool at all.
my kids, well the one that is left here, wears the pants low but not that
low and i've been watching how they walk, he doesnt hold his pants up with
one hand, nor does he walk funny. its not like those 'cool' ones walk.
so, no, i've no problem with my kids if that is what you garnered from my
rant.
all that goes with wearing ipods with music blasting straight into the
eardrum with no air or other obstacles to muffle the volume. hearing probs
much earlier in life than would normally be so.
i'm just pointing out what i'm observed.

Yeah, it hit a nerve. Pet peeve, pushing a button... whatever you
want to call it.
It's no biggie; we all have them. Me too. Just kidding you a little.

Like the idjit spammer who started this thread.
Now he's bombarding us with several more.
I've clicked "Report Spam" on every one
(Viewable when reading via Google Groups)
I'm beginning to thing that the button isn't attached to anything -
just a cyber-placebo to placate us irked readers.
Maybe if we all clicked on it together...? LOL!

Howdy!

Quoting myself: move the mouse.

Sometimes we have a little fun w/ the spam (ain't gonna' eat it, might
as well play w/ it).
W/ the folks here receiving the ng from different sources, there isn't
one "report spam" button. (google groups is kinda' clumsy, I wouldn't
even look for the "report" button there)
Dinna' fash yersel'; sit back, relax, move the mouse to the
next exciting Quilter's post about Quilting.
