Gosh, I think the sessions on thread alone, would be worth the price of
admission. There's SO much out there to choose from now, and it can get
rather confusing.
I do love Ricky Tims line of decorative thread for the bobbin. I've used
it a couple of times, and though you have to load up a couple bobbins if
you're doing a larger piece, the effects are quite nice. I generally
like Superior Threads as a whole.
The seminar sounded like a lot of fun, especially since all you did was
take notes! Information is always a good thing.

I noticed the other day at a quilt show that R. Tims and Alex Anderson both
had
threads for sale made by Superior...I'm assuming Libby Lehman does too???

I did one day of a Ricky Tims seminar a few years ago. I loved it! We were
leaving for a trip to the Oregon Coast the next day, so couldn't do the
whole thing. Luckily the room where he taught the class I took had a well
tuned piano in it. So, after he got us all sewing on the next step, he
would sit down and play. Most restful wonderful class I've ever taken!
