I know it is early, but is anyone planning to attend this January. DH has
been trying to make plans to fly to California, with the intent to go to the
quilt show, as well as a few other things. Hotels are booking up quickly.
Are the classes held during the quilt show, or are any held a day or two
before? The class list won't be available until mid-July, and my vacation
planner is getting anxious!

I will be driving out there either on Saturday or Sunday. Have missed
Road to CA for the last 2 years.

I got over there on Sunday of last show cause I was meeting my sis from
MV. That was the good day for her but the wind came up and they closed
the outside tent that had a lot of vendors. It was a rotten deal.
I've never done classes there but lots of guild gals here locally do.
I am less than an hour out of Ontario from this house but in Jan the
pass can be weather closed so I really never know. (3 snowflakes on
the pass and it is done for and unless I have to I don't do it in fog)
I think classes start on Thursday. List of possible teachers was in
the QNM ad this month. Didn't look like very big names that they
usually have. If I had a choice I'd go on Thursday or Friday.

A nephew from California has announced his engagement and said they
were planning a January or February wedding. I voted for something
real close to Road to California so I could attend the show and the
wedding on one plane ticket. My husband voted for something closer to
the Rose Parade which we haven't attended in years. We will see who
wins.
There are many great shops to visit in California. Have fun.

Thanks everyone for your info. I guess the next thing is to compile a list
of fabric/quilt shops in the area!
