Thanks to Pat in VA I did some exploring and searches and found all kinds of
goodies. These are just too much fun!

The one bowl has an uneven edge- from working the coils back and forth in a
small area. I just gotta go try make one of these!

And many site with 'regular' basket weaving using coil shaped materials show
some really fascinating shapes!

Aren't they darling? I stopped at our small Walmart yesterday to buy
the clothesline rope and they didn't stock it. I was so disappointed
and it will mean a drive to find some now. I think I'll be a basket
makin' fool once I get started on them...I love the ones in the photo
you posted. Donna

Seems like someone here said Ace Hardware carried the clothesline. Does
your town do Ace? Polly

I had the same experience at WalMart. Polly remembers right, I have been
able to find the cotton clothesline rope at our Ace Hardware. On one of the
links posted earlier someone mentioned they use macrame cord instead of
clothesline, so now I will be Internet searching for that!

I think these are amazing too, and a great way to use up fabric.

I bought 5/8 " cotton piping at Fabricland yesterday. I'm going to
try that instead of the clothesline.
