Howdy!
Relax, Patti/Pat.
We're so excited for you and your book, and it would certainly be
our choice of how, where, when to buy it. Getting it from The AUTHOR
means an autograph, right? And you'd be spending your time & travel
on shipping & handling. I figure it evens out in the end.
We know you're no pirate so put the eye patch & the parrot back where

they were. <g> Those of us who are usually the first to scream & point
fingers at "profiteering villains" are just waiting for our chance to
add your Geometrical Quilts to our book shelves. ;-)
(I understand & appreciate your concern.)
Cheers & Best Wishes on the book (Geometrical Quilts)!
R/Sandy--reminding everyone that Christmas is just (approx) 37 days away:

(p.s. Geometrical starts w/ "G")

Although parrots and eye patches CAN be a great fashion statement. Hard to
get the hook-hand through airport security, though. ;-)
FWIW, I go to a number of author lectures every year, and the author always
has a table of books for sale, at full price. When I do buy the book there
(I usually already have it if I'm going to the lecture), I don't expect a
discount -- the author had to lug them around, sign them, deal with selling
them, and royalties aren't very much. If the author makes an extra buck or
two on a book I enjoy, that's fabulous. Hopefully that will encourage them
to write another great book for me.

A search got me this url....
http://grumpyoldbookman.blogspot.com/2007/08/book-depository.html So often today you will hear on tv..."you can buy this at Amazon"....but
with they would say.."you can find this at your neighborhood bookstore "...
( which are slowly being pushed out of existance I might add)

Patti:
We know you much too well to even dream that you would
be a villain!! We realize that the big stores out sell
the little guys ... even if they happen to be tall
women! Now, please, go enjoy a nice cuppa something and
forget that idea.

OK I don't even know what this book is about, but if it is from one of
the RCTQ members I want one and don't know hot to get it from Patti
because I want mine signed too, and if it costs me more bucks that's
fine with me. Gotta support our own.
Hi to the group, BTW, been busy with dad and haven't had time to read
or post.
Miss you folks and Patti Please let me know how I can send you money
for the book.
