It's the "stealth" sewing room. :-)

So, you've got the "Transformers" Sewing Center, eh?

#1. I love the large bright room with the new solid surface flooring
(Former forest green carpet made space feel dark and was always
covered with threads, strings and pins.)
#2. I love my Big Board ironing surface. Need to find out about
John's gravity iron.
#3. I love the Tammy who comes on Fridays and puts stuff away. She
helped me reorganize the studio when everything was moved to remove
the carpet and paint the floor. Now she comes for a few hours every
Friday. As I use fabric during the week, leftovers are placed in a
box. She knows to first empty that box, pick-up pins off the floor and
straighten the "less than fat quarter" boxes which are sorted by
color. Most weeks I have saved a job she can handle without my
supervision such as ironing fabric. At noon she stays with Mom while
my husband and I go out to lunch. Wish she could sew better. She does
help with some charity project but she isn't up to handling my
detailed quilts. I decided to hire help in my studio rather than help
caring for Mom.

Yep! A good chair is a must. I have two, both good. One in front of the
computer, one for sewing.

I love a cutting table. It is a godsend--the right height with rulers right
there.

Bigger, bigger, bigger.......I have filled up my space a couple of times
over. I have stuff in the family room and in the garage too. Oh, for a
bigger room. If we win the lottery, I'm building an addition bigger than a
double car garage with a bathroom, washer and dryer and small kitchenette.

Just my dreams......

I live in a condo and sometimes I think it would be nice to have another
smaller apartment in the building just for a sewing room :)
