It was implied...
Michelle,
I wondered the same thing myself. Since I usually design on EQ, and
figured they know more than I do (at least), I checked out all their
lap quilt templates for size. They vary a bit, but both the average
and mean were about 60" square, which also happens to be the width of
a queen size mattress. IMO, =B1 a foot is within reason. A quick
googling yields results in that same ballpark.

LOL! Actually, I'm making two quilts. One for 5'4" woman and another
