Hot Dog! and wow. Congratulations. Don't know how you could do such a
lovely smile with a death grip on you. Would we call that grace under fire?
We had an easy time like that selling a house. DH was stretched out on
the floor painting the baseboards in the living room, couple came through
and asked if it was going to be for sale, could they look around and could
they buy it?
There wasn't a special trip to Colorado involved however. That's just
SO super. Polly

I'm still glowing tonight about the house sale today. Last year, I spent a
couple weeks doing some clean up with the hopes I could sell it myself. I
took a break to go help my mother in Texas for a week or so and during that
time there were many families in our community who were flooded out of their
homes. So we offered it to some friends for a low rent instead of putting
it up for sale. The renter's home is now habitable so I again got ready to
sell it myself. However, I'm not in as good shape this year after my
accident and I was concerned as to whether I was up to the challenge. I was
really dreading lying on the floor to paint baseboards....they did need it.
So it was a real blessing to have this over and done with so easily.
Someone was looking out for me!!! I should say "us" since DH has provided
the funding all these years, but other than that, he's been pretty much
hands off for the maintenance, etc. The house was my responsibility. So we
lucked out! The buyer bought it for his son who will be going to medical
school in the fall.....the house is about 2 blocks from the medical campus.
(That's why I thought I might be able to sell it myself.)
The sweepstakes win was a huge surprise. I didn't even remember entering
when they called. But on further reflection I remembered a quilter Facebook
friend commenting that she had bought an Accuquilt "Go" cutter. So I went
to the website to see what it was. They were the ones sponsoring the
drawing and that's where I entered. The taping will be in Boulder instead
of La Vieta where Ricky lives and they have previously taped their shows.
I'm really curious as to who the guests will be!

Just in case you get with it and go to an Image Consultant, have your colors
done, all new makeup, lose 20 pounds, and touch up your roots - p-l-e-a-s-e
do get your nails done something special. They may want to photograph or
video or something with your hands doing or showing quilting. How long has
it been since you had your rings professionally cleaned? Polly

You mean it isn't enough just to dip them in a glass of gin every now
and then?
