I'm in NW GA (Cherokee County) and my neighborhood didn't have any
flooding, but the southern part of this county had some bad flooding.
I've just stayed off the roads except for those in my own
neighborhood. I did have a roof leak, though. It isn't bad and only
happened during the heaviest of the rains. It wasn't anywhere near
any quilting or sewing, thank goodness!! I'll have it looked into
when the handyman can work me in.

Thanks for letting us know you're okay Carole - and that your
quilting/sewing stuff is dry too. Let's hope the worst of it is over now.

All I've got is a waterlogged basement and den, thank goodness. I'm
in the northwest corner of Georgia, across the line from Chattanooga
TN. There've been a couple of deaths in this immediate area and a lot
of flooding--people evacuated, Red Cross setting up shelters, etc.
Drivers are finding it hard to maneuver from one side of town to the
other because of bridges/roads being closed because of flooding. They
think the water may start receding now that the flood stage has been
reached (Chickamauga creek, flowing into the TN river from north GA).

The waterlogged basement and den are quite a lot, Rusty! I don't envy you
the clean-up, but I'm grateful that's all the more you have to do.
It's amazing to see the power of water - not only closing roads, but tearing
them up as well. We saw some pictures of that on the national news
yesterday. And yes, it does make travel hard. KJ and I live about 30 miles
apart, but after our flood last year, we had to take a 254 mile (or
something like that) detour to get from one place to the other!
