Glad you are OK Rusty! You are the person I was remembering up
there in the NW part of the state. Forecast for this area is sunny
today (which it is right now) but more rain tomorrow. The word is that
Lake Lanier rose THREE FEET in just 48 hours! That's as lot of water
and the lake is almost at capacity! Heaven help us if we get too much

more rain! CiaoMeow >^;;^<

AMEN to that--I woke up this morning to bright sunlight! Hopefully
the recovery can begin soon for all those in the hardest hit areas.
I was so glad to see that the furkids and other pets were being
evacuated with the people this time, too.

Do get that roof leak inspected as soon as you can, Carole - even if it's
only a quick look around. After Hurricane Georges, we were aware of a roof
leak and stained ceilings but didn't think it was bad or urgent and there
were lots of folks who did have Urgent.
A week or two later, our ceilings started giving up and falling in.
Scared the Dickens out of the QI. He jumped in my arms and said, "I didn't
break it; it was already broke". Nobody hurt but it surely was a mess.

I've already taken pictures and sent to the handyman. He's swamped
right now but I'm on his list. Today you can't see anything at all
where it was leaking, but I know where it was and I've looked (from
the ground) and the place where the leak was coming from, and I think
it's probably a loose flashing issue, as it's right where a wall meets
the roof. I'll be fine as long as he gets here before the next big
rain! (At least I HOPE I'll be fine!)

HMMM -- we're neighbors -- sort of :-). I live in the Midway area
(are you familiar with the Midway MealHouse?), the far south western
part of Forsyth Co. right along the border with Fulton Co. and not too
far from Cherokee Co. Where in Cherokee are you located?
DO be sure to get the roof leak fixed. Heaven forbid it gets worse
