I've been sort of productive today. I finished a little baby quilt
that will be donated to Red Cross. I started it last week -- nothing
fancy, just cute fabric in simple blocks and quilted onto a layer of
very soft fleece. It wraps like a blanket, but it's got a quilt top.
And I made a little doll quilt for a little girl who loves Winnie the
Pooh. Should have done it months ago, but then..... well, you know.
I have so much waiting for my attention. A baby quilt for a friend's
first grandchild -- I'm in the process of quilting it and having a
tough time. I just keep ripping out wonky and jerky looking quilting.
I need to start a twin quilt for the pretty girl who my son thinks
puts the stars in the sky -- she goes off to college in late August.
My friend who loves angels is still waiting for her quilt -- I found
the most stunning angel fabric ever and it's been all stacked and
ready for cutting for two months. But I can't decide on a pattern! I'm
four 6-inch wide panels from finishing a quilt-as-you-go for my
younger son. My art quilt Round Robin entry for the quilt guild hasn't
even been started and it's due in mid-July. Then there are the things
I want to do for me........
But for today, I checked two off my list. Now I'm going back
downstairs to check another off. I think I can finish the quilt-as-you-
go by bedtime. Move-em out!!
And tomorrow I'm going to spend the day playing with what I want to do
just for me. I will figure I've earned it.
Smilingly,
Sunny

Today I was attacked by Murphy's Law (with apology to Murph's Paw).
This is multiple choice.
I was vacuuming the top of the hot water heater. The little round brush
fell off the vacuum's hose wand. Did the little round brush fall -
(a) on the floor where I could bend over and pick it up?
(b) on the clothes dryer where I wouldn't even have to bend over?
(c) behind the hot water heater where no man has been before?
DH asked how I moved the hot water heater. I told him I surely hoped I got
all the connections back right. Polly

I like to think of myself as a reasonably fair house keeper but I have
never vacuumed the top of my water heater. My excuse is that it is
in the garage and that is dh's job.
My guess to your ? is "C'.
I guess we could say you were in hot water today.
Taria, in 110° desert air today.

Actually, it only took an umbrella handle, a yardstick and a Yorkie. Not
sure why Yogi was such a happy participant but he thought we were really
having fun. Polly

I'm with you there Taria! Now I come to think about it -- we don't
have a hot water system in the house anymore - cos we've gone solar
and it is up on the roof. No way I'm getting up there to dust it LoL.
