:
I am thinking of donating two blocks to the museum at the state capital
that displays historic quilts and blocks. Then they could display the
front and back which is pieced to newspaper. I was able to date the
blocks with the newspaper articles. Each triangle is 4-6 "strings" and I
think many are sack cloth. It is all hand sewn and I would like to hand
sew the remaining blocks to make a quilt. In any case, I am just
astounded at the work and what time it would have taken to make these
blocks. It is very colorful and the stitches are straight but I think
somewhat long.
