You stop when you decide you hate it. Donate it to your guild and
think no more about it.

I'd never do a Burns quilt because there are just too many pieces in
them. Quilt in a day? Ha! Quilt in a decade is more like it.

Four big blocks can cover a bed just as easily as twelve smaller ones,
and it would be quicker to make. Come to think on it, one giant block
would do even better.

Sunny try drawing your own quilt--with the less blocks. Big is
beautiful, Darlin'.

I love you guys! Wombat..... I'm going to remember that one. But I
think WomFat isn't too bad either, especially considering the current
show/hide quoted text

Part of the offending blocks are already on their way to the annual
guild swap meet. The rest are going to be incorporated into a Quilt of
Valor, I think. They are the right color and with a little imagination
I think I can turn that Uncle Sam panel by Moda into a QOV with the
work I've already done.

I'm going to take a quilting haitus. At least actual cutting and
sewing. I'm going to spend the next few weeks reading, reading,
reading. And thinking. I know some of the things I really like to do,
but don't have the skills to carry it out. That's probably the first
place I'll start. From there I'm not too sure. I've got a Round Robin
project that's due next month. I'm going to finish that for sure. And
then it may be a while before I think about half-square triangles.
LOL.

In the meantime, you guys who do the beautiful work, keep making it
cuz i sure do like to look at it, even if it drives me batty to do.

Love,
Sunny

When it becomes more of a "chore" to do, than a "joy" to do...... let it
go! Just as quilting is not for "everyone", there are different types &
styles that are not for "everyone". RCTQers do some of the most amazing
things I've ever seen, and I love to look at them, but....... if it came
to actually attempting to make some of them, I'd rather stick hot
needles in my eyes! Have fun with it - and if it's "not you", then pass
it on to someone else, donate it, or if the mood hits - toss it in the
trash!
