I am SO unhappy.
After several auditions, a sweet yellow calico sort of print seemed just
right. Picked a deep yellow for setting squares. Ran a border of the frog
print around.
It just does not please at all.
I can put borders on until it's big enough for a crib quilt. Baby can
have a clean, soft place to learn to focus sweet eyes on some dazzling
frogs.
It's just not possible to make one or two crib quilts a week for NIN and
have everyone of them make me happy . . . but this one makes me want to
stomp it into the trash bin.
It's all your fault. I told you I needed you here. Let's have a pity
party for my failure. Refreshments? How about hot chocolate with real
whipped cream? and spiced pecans. At least the pecan crop is good. Polly

You're right, Jeanne. There's no safe outside here in the Swamp but this is
a big house with 2 kitchens. Plenty of room for getting together all manner
of refreshments for a pity party - I saw a recipe for pumpkin muffins today
that just sounds great. Said to bring ½ cup of water to boil and let l cup
of raisins stand in them for a while to plump. We could even get crazy and
use ½ cup of apple juice instead. What do you think? Polly

you can plump those raisins in any liquid you fancy.
i'd suggest rum if you're so inclined.
