Joanne Passmore says hello to everyone here and wanted to share her
good news. Her FIRST GRANDCHILD has been born - Brooklyn Rose - 9 lbs.
4 oz, 22 inches long. Brookly is a miracle baby, since her Daddy is
Joanne's son who had cancer. And joy of joys, grandchild number 2 is
expected Nov 24th. (different parents, J's oldest son and his
wife...chuckle)
Joanne can read our posts but can't seem to make her MAC agree with
posting, so she's quite frustrated. She's reading about and quilting
with and thinking of all of us. I personally wonder if anyone has any
advice to share with Joanne concerning Mac's and newsgroups, or
whatever else might be preventing her from posting?

Oh, congratulations! I know how special that first
grandbaby's appearance is. :) I wish you all much
happiness.

Thanks for passing this along, MM! Congratulations, Joanne! :)
Now, about the Mac problem. I use a Mac, too -- I've been using them for

a couple of decades now. <G> I don't know if I can help or not, but it
would be useful to know what program/application you're using to read
the messages here. Personally, I use a freebie called MT-NewsWatcher
show/hide quoted text
<http://www.smfr.org/mtnw/> (NAYY) -- it works easily. You'll need to
call your ISP to find out what the name of your server is, but that
should be all that's necessary. HTH.

Congrats!
At the very least you should be able to post 'outside' your news reader
by going to the group through google.

Congratulations! Hey, don't blame the Mac! Can she at least read/post
through google? I know a lot of people don't like accessing the group
that way, but works fine for me (on my Mac). I'm sure there are plenty
of other newsreader options available, but I can't help on that, sorry.
Lynn, happy Mac user... now if they could just make an EQ for Macs.
