gotta list, wanna vote - business name thread again off kilter quilter 08-07-2006

Ok....having polled the group, here is what I have come up
with......tahdah....*nothing*!! So, business name is now open for you
to vote on (if you so desire).

Here are some options that have been mentioned:

LRV Cloth Creations

Larisa's Lovelies: Custom Sewing

Larisa's Stitchery

LRV Creative Sewing

Larisa Sews

Sew What!

So-Sew

Sew-Sew

Larisa's Stitches

LRV Creations

On the upside, I spoke with the ladies at the LQS and they said they
would have no trouble putting cards/fliers up for me :-)...now on to
school or age-appropriate children.....and to design a leaflet thingy
and business cards....and and and....oh yeah, get the room cleaned and
straightened and "ready for go".

the names all look nice
but what makes to difference, imho, is what is behind the name!

i see place with cute names fail and others with stodgy, formal, uncute
names do well.....
the difference is the what comes after the name, i.e., quality,
references, etc.

but a cute name helps people to remember when they have senior (or
junior) moments
how bouts

Try the phone test:

"Hello, Sew What." How will that go over with customers? Same with
answering machine messages.

Also, will people you casually mention your business to hear it as "so
what?"

Try the other possibilities and see how you like saying them and how
they might sound to others.
