Debra, I've studied your Clown and it seems to me that he is done with a
heavyweight variegated thread of primary colors. Do you know how to couch
with your SM? You could zigzag the thread in place with an invisible thread
such as MonoPoly or Invisafil. There are a lot of starts and stops on the
clown. That's easily solved by threading the tail in a big eyed needle and
pulling it through to the back. Practice with any heavy thread and decide
which foot holds everything in place the best. I think the project would
take some time but yes, you can do it by SM. Polly
