I put the border on this evening, I had a bit of a moment where I put the
final strip on right side to wrong side and didn't realise until I'd set the
seam, fortunately the stitch length was long enough and the iron relatively
cool, so it wasn't a nightmare to unpick.

it was an easy choice, the book said either lots lighter or lot darker,
black was an obvious choice, I take no credit for it!

Anne, Black was a very good choice for these fabrics.
Actually, when I've seen this or similar projects with
the narrow sashing in very pale cream or white, it
looks like masking tape to me. So, for most such
projects I say go dark. PAT
