I got so excited looking at jeanne's hug I didn't check out the
mice until just now. They are cute as all get out. What a
wonderful fun quilt. The other scrappy quilts are great too.
Scrappy are my favorite quilts. Yours are really good.

I remember my mother's quilts so well. Remember tracing the pattern of the
Irish Chain with my fingers, remember studying the appliquéd butterfly one
and remembering the dresses that the b'flys wings once were. I have that
sort of hope for the mouse quilt. Maybe one day a great-grandchild will
snuggle in it and be tickled and comforted by one-eared mice. Yes. I like
to hope for that. Thanks, Taria. Polly

Polly, I was going to comment on your wonderful quilts last night and
fell asleep...lol. The mousies are darling and unique, so special, I
know whoever receives it will cherish it forever. Made me smile
everytime I looked at it! Loved your scrappy quilts also...you are so
talented with color besides lining everything up. Tell me please, is
the one a 'flying geese' pattern block? Is it sewn on the diagonal?

You know, Donna, that's absolutely Nothing but half-square triangles. I
made about 600 of those rascals, each with a partner of something in the
toast, ivory, beige sort of family. I've always always wanted to make one
but didn't know if my enthusiasm would survive through the repetition.
Truth is - since there were so many fabrics to enjoy, it wasn't tedious at
all. Polly

Thanks Polly, I'm back to the website to take another look. Man,
600, huh? I don't know if I'd have the stick-to-it-ness to tackle it
but it sure is neat! Donna
