I've been carrying on my usual quilter's ADD style. In the last couple
days, I have pieced two small wallhangings from kits I bought on sale.
I've also been playing with some pineapple blocks that seem to take a
looooooong time to make. I have no idea how long I'll be able to stick with
this project. I have a lot of fabric colleced for it, so I think I need to
keep plugging away. I also have my block from my machine applique class
with Sharon Schamber layered and ready to ruin...er,I mean, machine quilt.

<g> Notice I haven't posted any pictures of COMPLETED quilts in a while.
Oh wait....I did get a baby quilt made and given away last month. So I HAVE
done something!!!

What a nice variety of projects! Great idea, so you don't get burned
out on any one technic. And don't worry about the pineapple blocks.
You will be able to 'gently encourage them' to go together nicely. I
love the colors!

That's it! I have so many projects so I don't get burned out! Great
answer! I have a feeling I'll be doing a lot of encouraging with the
pineapple blocks. I like the colors too, even though they aren't what I
thought I was envisioning! I must have purchased what I liked, so that's a
good thing.

Neato pics. Gonna be nice and not beg. Once a day is all I allow myself :)
ADD, huh? Why don't you try this for a coupla days and see if it helps:
Set your timer for 10 min, NO LONGER, go in and sew until it rings and then
LEAVE......like totally get out of that room for awhile....you'll know how
long you have to be gone. Then set the timer for another 10 min and do the
same. Once your brain decides it can only HAVE 10 min, hopefully, it'll
settle down and sew.
I don't have ADD (how did I miss out on that? since I already have
Alphabetitus) but it helped when the Doc said "10 min and NO MORE". I
concentrated on what *I* wanted to do and did it, got the twin size quilt
done and I didn't suffer after from doing too much too soon. It was hard at
first but got easier as I SAW that things were being accomplished.
PLEASE let me know if it works for you.

I don't have REAL ADD. And my apologies to anyone dealing with it
personally for using the term flippantly. I just seem to skip from project
to project without completing them. I do think I could use the 10 minute
trick for machine quilting though. However, 10 minutes might seem like a
long time. I walk away from machine quilting quite often. I haven't
figured out why...I have a great table and a supposedly good chair too. But
I don't think I'm totally comfortable in the chair. I've often thought I'd
like to machine quilt while standing up....but I haven't really figured out
the logistics of that though. And since my sewing table is pretty new....it
would be best to learn to work with it!!!
