I thought I posted this, but I can't find it so I'll try again.
(Sometimes I forget to hit the "send" button) I'm looking for pictures
of pictures of t-shirt quilts that are a bit out of the ordinary.
Have you seen any interesting settings outside the usual sashings? A
friend would like to use her son's t-shirts for a quilt top and I said
I'd help her with it. I tried to Google images, but I get sites that
sell them and most of them are pretty mundane. Have you seen or made
an interesting one? Any ideas that you haven't tried yet? Thanks for
your ideas!

I have a *feeling* that I have seen one where the design part on the
T-shirt is used as normal, but then 'sleeves' (or something that looks
like them) are added into a strip alongside that - before the sashing?
Other than that, I like to see things like this in differently sized
blocks with variable sashing - all sort of offset.

Here are a few that are out of the ordinary (at least they're not all set in
an even grid):

There are some good ideas there! The creative juices get going after
looking at some different settings. Sometimes it's hard to get out of
the box. I didn't think of searching in Webshots. Thanks!

have you considered doing a pieced sashing, like flying geese or
checkerboard? I don't think I've ever seen this, but it might be
interesting.
