I do the same thing. I never let one go without taking a picture first
either.
I'm dilly-ing with two at the moment. One just needs binding, and one
just
needs washing. For at least 2 weeks now.

I've only recently been able to unattache from my quilts. Before that I
had only given a couple of quilts away. Just couldn't part with
something that I put so much time and effort into. Now my home is almost
filled with quilts I feel the need to share. So your not alone.

Lately it seems I am ready to let go of the quilts I am working on.
My problem is dh. He doesn't want me to give any of them away
to anyone but him! Since my mom passed he is my biggest fan.
I have a lot of quilts at this point. There isn't a lot more room to
store more. Maybe you just need to make more for yourself?

I pondered the notion of re-attaching. I gave one to a fine young fellow
for graduation thinking he might use it in his first 'home of his own'. His
mom fell in love with the quilt and claimed it for her own. She shares it
with her 4 dogs and the quilt is having a hard life. No problem. I'll just
make him another when he weds. If, of course, I'm not too old and shaky to
thread a needle. Polly
