It's been a weird year [I'm sure that RCMP officer in Saskatchewan is STILL
talking about the two stressed women with three screaming toddlers driving
to Montreal from Vancouver!] When we got home, it was too hot to sew in my
favourite outdoor space [that NEVER happens on Vancouver Island!], and my
indoor sewing space was beyond belief!
So, I for one, am glad it's September and a bit cooler...I managed to get my
class sample ready for Jacob's Ladder for beginners at a local store;
finished the top for another different take on Jacob's Ladder AND ta da!
finally got a new block up on my site for the Bible Block series. Now to
finish the brown and blue Shepherd's Light quilt for the wedding that took
place in June! [it's gorgeous, if I do say so as what shouldn't!]
Anyway, to see my summer sewing space, and to check out the design wall with
Jacob's Ladder, go to my blog
http://wordinpatchwork.wordpress.com/; for the new block [and links to a
special hug quilt we made from this block] check out my site [link below my
signature.]

Nice to hear from you Kim and to get an update. Sorry it was so hot this
summer, but oh, you're sewing spot is delightful! What a beautiful place.
As always, your work is beautiful. The Jacob's Ladder is very striking -
love those colors and fabrics together.

Wow! I've never thought of sewing outside. Never lived any place where
it would have been practical. Your outdoor sewing room looks
delightful. Sorry the weather wasn't more cooperative this summer.
Beautiful Jacob's Ladder! That pattern is so versatile. It's on my to
do list. :-)
Best regards,
Michelle in Nevada
