There are also some rather intricate paper foundation pieced patterns of
dogs' heads. I've seen them for sale.

They have some similar patterns here: www.qorsite.com.

I think you have to a subscriber to download them (it's like $15 a year --
so 2-3 patterns you like pays for it for a year)

that's a great site.

Also from searching on portrait and landscapte quilting, I found some
good sites and books. Another term is pictorial quilting. Thanks to
everyone!
