Julia, she didn't say why to not use rayon in the bobbin. I'm just a big
fan of using like thread in the top and bottom- exceptions being 12 wt.
cotton thread, metallics, invisible, etc.

I'm the same way. I've used rayon in the bobbin much of the time--also
monofilament.

I've given this 'to not use rayon in the bobbin' notion a few minute's
thought and don't get anywhere with it. Would it maybe be weaker? Weaker

Does it stretch while it winds? That's the only reason I could think of that
someone might not like rayon in the bobbin.
