I had a great time, and finished the outfit just in the nick
of time, so I felt very upbeat about meeting all those old
farts. When did they all get so OLD??? ;-}

Beverly, looking forward to some more sewing now that my
sewing room is so nice and tidy.

That's lovely! Such beautiful fabric, and such a suitable pattern. I
don't need to comment on the making - perfect as usual! :)
I could believe this was a 20th reunion, but never a 50th! You look fab.

Thanks, Kate! I loved the fabric, but it's difficult to
work with, the "thick-n-thin" aspect makes for some
interesting challenges.

And the pile direction... I love devore, but it does have some
challenging characteristics for sewing!

I held this yardage up to my body and looked in a full
length mirror, changing it from "nap up" to "nap down" too
see which way I liked best. It turned out that nap down
produced the best silvery highlights, so that's how I cut
it. It was the bias hem that had me chewing bullets and
screaming obscenities. Grrrrrr
